To help combat sore muscles, wear tighter clothing after a workout. A Scottish study showed that women who wore compression tights, spandex leggings, and tightly woven nylon after completing a workout session had fewer complaints of sore muscles than women to opted for more loose garments.
The science behind this finding? Swelling is decreased by more constrictive clothes and increases blood flow to those areas. This in turn, helps to lessen the time it takes for your achy muscles to recuperate.
Don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after your workout to stay hydrated.
