About

I am an advanced practice registered nurse with a passion for women’s health.  I obtained my bachelors degree from the #1 HBCU in the nation, Florida AM University.  I am also an alumna of the prestigious Emory University where I received my masters of nursing degree with a concentration in Women’s Health and Adult Primary Care.  I have worked a hospital on the oncology/infectious diseases unit, where I gained a lot of my nursing skills and knowledge and at a residential mental health facility for children and adolescents.  I am currently employed at a government facility where I run the Family Planning department.  I also work in the Sexual Health and Maternity clinics.  I absolutely love my chosen field of work.  Nursing has intrinsic value.  There aren’t many careers that truly has the ability of affecting and connecting with another human being like nursing.  In my opinion, the most rewarding part of being a nurse is being granted the opportunity to improve or even save another person’s life.  It’s a very fulfilling career and I love it.  I plan to enjoy this journey as a healthcare provider and keep the masses informed about health issues along the way.
